
Surita Rorie is a current Global SOF Fellow. Prior to the start of her internship she served as the Senior Enlisted Leader to the Headquarters Air Force, Integrated Resilience Directorate. Here she advised on all matters relating to the strategic planning, research and development, evaluations and analysis, and policy implementation of integrated resiliency programs optimizing the overall human weapon system.
Prior to her position at the Pentagon she served as an Aviation Resource Manager at various levels planning, organizing, and directing aircrew and parachutist resource activities. She served numerous units, groups and wings stateside and abroad. Surita was first introduced to Global SOF while overseeing parachutist management of U.S. Central Command, U.S. Southern Command, and U.S. Special Operations Command jump personnel at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL.
Surita holds a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics, with a minor in Flight Safety and Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, FL. She is also a trained Women, Peace, and Security Gender Advisor and has earned her Tan Belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. She currently lives in the Nation’s Capital however will be relocating to sunny Clearwater, FL once her oldest finishes Kindergarten!
