
Pat Wempe is a retired Army Intelligence officer whose career included significant experience
supporting Special Operations, Interagency, and Conventional forces. Much of Pat’s 30+ year
career was served in the Special Operations community, including multiple command
assignments and over fifteen years’ experience in SOF environments.
His career in SOF included assignments with 7th Special Forces Group 1996-2000; the Defense
Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Special Operations Branch 2002-2003; an Army Special
Mission Unit 2004-2009; the Joint Interagency Task Force – National Capital Region from
2011-2013; a SOF-sponsored Senior Service College fellowship at the Naval Postgraduate
School from 2013-2014; and as the G2 for USASOC from 2016-2019.
Pat’s command assignments included a Light Infantry Rifle Platoon and Battalion Support
Platoon; a Battalion MID and the Group MIC in 7th SFG; three Intelligence Troops within an
Army SMU; Battalion command at the National Security Agency with teams supporting CJSOTF
and Task Force in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as soldiers stationed at HQ SOCOM and HQ
JSOC; and Brigade command of the Theater Intelligence Brigade for U.S. Army Pacific.
Joining Accenture Federal Services in February 2022, Pat serves as the senior SOF Business
Developer, working with teams focused on providing support and subject matter expertise for
efforts across the SOF community. His work in the AFS SOF account has included oversight of
efforts in support of HQ SOCOM, JSOC, the TSOCs, and the SOF Service Components.
