Founded in 1999, Permuta Technologies, Inc. is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business headquartered in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Permuta is an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and the developer of DefenseReady. DefenseReady software is a suite of mission enabling solutions purpose built for DoD on the Microsoft Dynamics platform.
Designed around and for the military community, DefenseReady integrates authoritative systems with locally captured data, providing leadership at all levels of command with a common operational picture, employees visibility over their tasking and assignments, and service members with self-service capabilities. Preconfigured to employ and translate the terminology and language unique to each military branch, DefenseReady is the only commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution that enables users from all military services and components to quickly and efficiently analyze and cross reference data, regardless of source. DefenseReady capabilities span all functional areas of a military command to include: recruiting, human resources, training, medical, legal, security, finance, operations and assets. DefenseReady streamlines communication by removing the bottlenecks of having to rely on numerous disparate applications and data providers, speeding business processes and enabling informed decision-making by leaders. Successfully supporting DoD organizations for over 10 years, Permuta continues to mature DefenseReady to meet evolving DoD requirements and missions. The largest DefenseReady deployment in the DoD supports US Special Operations Command (USSCOM). USSOCOM’s enterprise implementation of DefenseReady is deployed and operational in the SOCOM Information Environment (SIE). DefenseReady integrates data from 20 authoritative data sources to include all 4 military service HR systems, training and deployment systems. From those DoD sources, DefenseReady processes more than 50 million transactions per day in support of the SOCOM enterprise. These transactions provide a base of reconciled historical information for organizations and end-users to add locally managed data to get a robust view of the organization for managing readiness and tracking data down to an individual level. Data is pulled directly from DefenseReady to brief senior leadership on joint forces, capabilities and requirements.
DefenseReady allows users to get a visual picture of the data through dashboards which are flexible and configurable. DefenseReady can display data in any geospatial application that is capable of ingesting Keyhole Markup Langue (KML) files.
DefenseReady currently produces reports such as the DEPREP, PERSTEMPO, Binning and Deployment to Dwell (D2D), which are being integrated into the J3/G3/N3 Operational Dashboard. In addition, DefenseReady is integrating data weekly from the Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager (JCRM) system further enhancing decision makers’ ability to identify requirements and capabilities of Special Operations Forces. These inherent capabilities within SOCOM’s DefenseReady instance, coupled with readiness data, empower leadership within SOCOM to collaborate more efficiently and effectively concerning unit health, availability and readiness.
