Michael Campbell serves as the Director of Mission Transformation for the SMX Mission
Solutions Group (MSG), overseeing the integration of new technology and innovation across
three ISR programs valued at over $7 billion and spanning seven Combatant Commands
(COCOMs). He leads 674ACE, the MSG Accelerator Element—a specialized team of Subject
Matter Experts that bridges SMX’s C5ISR Mission Solutions portfolio and Business
Development efforts. Under Michael’s leadership, 674ACE drives strategic alignment, captures
cross-functional synergies, and strengthens partnerships with industry and customers. The
team’s mission is to integrate cutting-edge technologies, foster innovation, and enhance the
value delivered across SMX programs and intellectual property development for its customers.
Michael brings an extraordinary 35-year career as a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Army,
including 28 years within the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community. His tenure in SOF
has refined his strategic acumen and deep understanding of the complex operational needs
critical to national security. Through his expertise, Michael ensures SMX remains at the forefront
of delivering impactful, mission-critical solutions. His focus on technological innovation,
operational excellence, and strategic collaboration underscores his commitment to advancing
the capabilities of SMX’s programs. Michael’s leadership drives the transformation of mission
solutions, positioning SMX as a trusted partner for clients operating in high-stakes
