While we’ve recently spent some time on the West Coast of Lithuania, it’s been a while since we went to the West Coast of the U.S.! So we’re heading back, hosting a West Coast Reception on April 5, 2017. The evening will feature waterfront views, delicious food and beverage, and a keynote speaker from U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command: Deputy Commander Capt. Keith Davids.
Capt. Keith Davids is a native of Miami, Fla. and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1990. Following his commissioning as an ensign in the U.S. Navy, he was assigned to Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training, graduating with Class 177 in October 1991.
His operational tours include platoon commander tours at SEAL Team Two, Element Leader and Squadron Operations Officer tours at Naval Special Warfare Development Group, an executive officer tour at SEAL Team Seven, and a tour as Commanding Officer of SEAL Team One. He has made numerous operational deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Pacific, and Europe, including serving as Commander, Combined Joint Special Operation Task Force – Iraq.
His shore tours include Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group, Aide-de-Camp for CINCLANTFLT, Military Aide to the President, Deputy Commander of NSW Group Three, Director of Operations at Naval Special Warfare Command, and Commanding Officer, Naval Special Warfare Center.
He earned a master’s of science in systems management from the Naval Postgraduate School and a master’s of science in strategy and policy from National Defense University.
His personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (three awards), Bronze Star Medal with Combat V (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal with Combat V, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal and various unit and service awards.
Capt. Davids is married to CAPT Yvette Davids, who currently serves on the staff of Commander, U.S. THIRID Fleet. Keith and Yvette have twin boys, Kai and Kiernan.
