A native of Washington, D.C., Marci was raised in Arlington, VA, then moved to
Rockville, MD. She graduated from Montgomery College in 1985 with an AA in
Photography, Old Dominion University in 1994 with a BS in Psychology and most
recently earned her MSW from Fordham University in December 2021. She
recently earned her LMSW and will be pursuing her LCSW in the immediate
future.
Marci has been a loyal and committed supporter of military and Gold Star
families, mentor to fellow military spouses, and trusted confidante. She has been
an active leader in a volunteer capacity in the civilian and military communities in
which she has lived. She has taken a leadership role in every command to which
her husband has been assigned. She was involved as a board member of The
Navy SEAL Foundation from 2012 to 2016.
She is married to Timothy (Tim) Szymanski, VADM USN (Ret), a former Navy
SEAL. She is a Navy spouse of 37 years and Naval Special Warfare (NSW)
spouse of 35 years. Marci & Tim have two sons, Clinton (34) and Mischa (28),
and currently live in New Braunfels, TX.
