
Marc is an American businessman and philanthropist with an outstanding track record of successfully building businesses, transforming organizations, and positively impacting communities, teams, and people.
With extensive public and private sector experience, Marc has cultivated a robust network of relationships that enable
him to easily navigate the complex dimensions of DC and global communities. Marc’s expertise extends across diverse
sectors in dual use technology, telecommunications, private equity, venture capital, public sector, consumer products,
banking, and capital markets.
He is Founder and Managing Member of Andersen Advisory LLC, an advisory firm guiding mission-focused Founders,
Funders and Operators championing Freedom, Independence, and Liberty through dual-use technology, services and
teaming.
Marc retired from Ernst & Young LLP as Senior Partner Emeritus. Career highlights include creating EY’s US Federal Consulting business and International Development and Diplomacy practice, serving as America’s Government and Public Sector Leader, US Strategy, Brand and Communications Leader, and as Senior Global Client Service Partner and Senior Advisory Partner to some of the Firms largest clients.
Prior to joining EY, Marc was a Partner at Arthur Andersen LLP, and an entrepreneur in the high-tech and services industries, to include co-founding a software and services company.
Marc’s dedication to public service is underscored by his appointment by the President of the United States as Commissioner to the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars, by the Governor of Virginia as Trustee to the Virginia Veteran Services Foundation and by the United States Air Force as Honorary Commander of the 89th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Andrews.
Serving the greater Washington DC community is a cornerstone of Marc’s life and work, and he focuses his investmentson organizations and people who support his belief in youth, education and entrepreneurship. He is a passionate advocate and mentor for current and transitioning service members, military spouses and veterans.
Marc’s philanthropic contributions have been widely recognized, including accolades such as the Washington Football Legends Community MVP Award and the establishment of a scholarship in his honor, aiding minority students pursuing higher education. Capitol File Magazine has lauded him as a DC Community Builder, and he has been featured on “The List” of distinguished business and community leaders in the Washington, DC Region. Marc and his wife Shaza have been celebrated by DC Magazine as leading Greater Washington philanthropists.
