Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager – Core Events reports to the Director of Marketing and Sales. S/he executes a variety of operational, design, and administrative functions to support the Marketing, Sales and Core Events Teams and focuses on developing and distributing content and collateral.
LOCATION: Preferred Greater Tampa Bay Area, FL (most work is completed remotely), up to 10% travel
SALARY: $75 – 80,000 annually

Responsibilities:
- Manage marketing calendars, independent consultants, and vendors
- Guardian of core event brand
- Lead for overarching marketing activities and content creation in relation to Global SOF Core events and Huddles, to include event branding/kits, graphic design for both print and digital media, marketing emails and lists, social media, advertisements, reporting/analytics
- Lead for Event Mobile App development and editing
- Lead for event photography and videography, including vendor management as required
- Manage content and updates for the GSOF website, Twitter / X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platform
- Manage design and production of event signage, promotional materials, and collateral; liaise and manage vendor as required
- Design presentations that effectively communicate Global SOF Core Event themes as assigned
- Establish audience segmentation and communication controls to prevent audience fatigue across event campaigns
- Own and manage the marketing Monday.com board for each event to track deadlines, deliverables, approvals, and campaign progress
- Manage automated marketing workflows and direct mail campaigns
- Serve as a sales enablement partner by developing sponsor pitch decks, sales kits, digital brochures, and partner-facing materials
- Manage fulfillment of contracted digital sponsor assets, including website, email, mobile app, and social media placements
- Design, source, and procure event merchandise, apparel, challenge coins, lanyards, custom gifts, and other branded items
- Lead live event content operations, including podcasts, VIP/speaker interviews, on-site content capture, and real-time storytelling
- Maintain a central library of approved templates, sponsor assets, event brand materials, and internal-use design resources
- Support visual strategy for large-scale physical production, including stage backdrops, branded environments, and event experience design beyond standard signage
- Support marketing colleagues in times of surge activity.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a relevant field
- BA, AA, or Certificate in Communications or Media Production
- A background in Special Operations or Military experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Background in procurement and sourcing is a must, including experience managing both domestic and international vendors across multiple service areas.
- Essential experience in account management, with the ability to manage professional relationships and high-level expectations.
- An excellent writer with the ability to adapt tone for military, industry, and corporate audiences.
- For effective and efficient working practices it is essential you are confident in using AI tools
- Ability to manage time and work remotely
- Ability to work with a dynamic and fast-moving team
Desired Software Experience:
- Google Suite, especially Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Canva
- Monday.com or similar task management system
- Adobe Creative Cloud Products, especially Premiere Pro and Audition
- WordPress Site Development
- CVENT or similar event management software
- Constant Contact or other Marketing Automation tools
- re:Members or other Association Management Systems (AMS)
- Use of AI systems and prompt design
