JJ Holmes opened his own company in 2020. He is the President of True Focus CLX, providing consulting on strategy and placement needs for Aviation businesses. JJ has extensive ties within special Operations to expand business with Aviation Platforms and Missions Systems.
His career has covered over 31 years with the US Army as a Master Aviator with over half of it being in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment Airborne (SOAR(A)). He has flown over 6,300 hours with 2,200 of them using Night Vision Goggles. He was a flight lead for MH-6 and MH-60L aircraft. He has deployed to Urgent Fury, Just Cause, Prime Chance, OIF, and OEF. His top awards include the Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, 4 Meritorious Service Medals, and Air Medal.
After retiring in June 2006, JJ worked at the Directorate of Combat Developments in the Unmanned Futures Branch as a contractor with Navigator Development Group, Inc. (NDGI). He was promoted to VP for Operations for the Global Enterprise Group within NDGI in January 2007. JJ oversaw operations and contracts for the Joint UAS COE at Creech AFB, Nevada and helped stand up the Army UAS COE at Fort Rucker, Alabama. He moved to Textron Systems in 2009 as Director of Tampa Operations, opening an office to interface with USSOCOM and CENTCOM on Textron wide products. This included coordinating efforts from all the operating units of Textron Systems (AAI, Overwatch, Textron Defense Systems, Textron Marine and Land Systems, and Lycoming).
In 2016 continuing to concentrate in aviation and UAS, moved to a position with United Technology Corporation (UTC) in Collins Aerospace which later changed to Raytheon Technologies with their merger. Concentration was in EO/IR payloads from Group II through Group V UAS.
JJ has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from University of the State of New York and a Master of Science Degree in International Relations from Troy State University.
JJ is a life time member of the Global SOF Foundation, Army Aviation of America Association (AAAA), and Night Stalker Association.
