Dr. Chris Frueh, Lead author of “Operator Syndrome” paper
B. Christopher Frueh, PhD is a clinical psychologist, Professor of Psychology at the University of Hawaii; and Adjunct Professor, Psychiatry in Neurosurgery, Houston Methodist Academic Institute. He has thirty years of professional experience working with military veterans and active-duty personnel, including clinical work, research, and consultation to individuals and groups.
He has co-authored over 300 scientific publications (h-Index = 84; total scientific citations > 21,000), including a current graduate textbook on adult psychopathology. He has testified before US Congress, and served as a paid contractor for the Department of Defense, Veterans Affairs, US State Department, and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
He has also published commentaries in the National Review, New York Times, Time; and has been quoted or cited in the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Washington Post, Scientific American, and many others.
