
Sean Mahabir is the Director of Security for the Global Special Operations Forces Foundation, where he oversees all aspects of security strategy, risk mitigation, and protective operations for high-level domestic and international events. His leadership ensures the safety and success of engagements that bring together elite military, government, and industry leaders from around the world.
With over 20 years of experience in law enforcement special operations, Sean served with distinction in the Tampa Police Department’s Special Operations Division. He held key roles including Hostage Negotiator, Senior Special Operations Planner, and federal liaison to agencies such as the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security. As the lead special operations planner for TPD, he directed security efforts for multiple presidential visits (2016–2024) and National Special Security Events (NSSEs), managing complex, high-stakes environments with precision and professionalism.
Sean’s operational, tactical, and logistical leadership has earned the trust of major organizations including the NFL, NHL, NCAA, ESPN, and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), who have relied on his expertise to safeguard personnel, infrastructure, and event success.
Sean has one daughter and resides in North Georgia with his wife, and their two dogs – Mando, a Rottweiler, and Roxy, a Yorkie.
