MG Iñiguez (Spain, 1959) after graduation from the Military Academy, 1981, attended the SOF Course. Has dedicated around 20 years to serve in SOF units, in all ranks, except as Major, when served in the 2nd Parachute Battalion. In September 2014 was appointed to set up the Mando Conjunto de Operaciones Especiales, MCOE (Joint Special Operations Command) as Commander, his current position.
He has experience in multinational operations: Central America, 1990; B-H, 1996; Kosovo, 2000; and Afghanistan, 2010, as Director of the SOF Fusion Cell (SOFFC). MG Iñiguez has the following badges: SOF, Assault Diver, Paratrooper, Military Intelligence, and General Staff.
