An ENGAGE-ing Experience with MemberSuite

You are here: Home / News / An ENGAGE-ing Experience with MemberSuite

Last week, three GSF staff members attended MemberSuite’s Users Conference, Engage 2018, at the W Hotel in Buckhead, Georgia. Hopefully you know by now that we recently transitioned to a new Customer Relationship Management system and Member Portal through MemberSuite. (If not, check out this blog post from January or these handy videos on how to log-in and navigate the new system!)

We were very excited to meet the MemberSuite team in person, learn more about the product, and discuss plans for its future. Fortunately for us, we were able to check all of those boxes at the conference!

We kicked off the conference with a lovely welcome reception on the W patio with delicious snacks and drinks. Atlanta treated us to beautiful weather throughout the conference, especially on the first evening! It was terrific to finally meet some of the MemberSuite staff, especially those on the Support Team who we frequently talk to online to resolve our trouble tickets.

The conference started with a presentation by MemberSuite’s new CEO, Natalie Cheney, in which she laid out the new path she is charting for the company. She has a great vision and has already implemented significant changes in just seven months on the job. We were very pleased to learn that a new mobile-friendly Member Portal will be launched this summer, along with improvements to the online member directory and event registration, to name a few new features. Overall, her new leadership team is aiming to be more customer-focused.

To that end, the GSF COO, Meaghan Keeler-Pettigrew, was invited to serve on the Customer Advisory Board in order to share feedback directly with MemberSuite leaders and developers. The rest of day included more focused sessions on specific features of the product and ended with a Customer Appreciation Dinner (and karaoke for those willing to stay up late!)

The GSF team also enjoyed meeting other MemberSuite customers and industry partners. We gathered some tips and ideas to improve our use of the system, and we left the conference feeling very optimistic about the future of MemberSuite and what it can do for GSF members!

Thank you to MemberSuite for hosting a great event, and we look forward to attending next year!

Our trip to Atlanta also allowed us to visit one of our Corporate Partners, Diversified! Their Federal Solutions Group provided a very impressive capabilities briefing and tour of the Norcross, Georgia facility. Diversified is able to design, build, and manage large scale visualization solutions for mission critical environments to include:

  • Secure, multiple classification AV systems design and installation
  • Design and integration of mission critical command and control environments
  • AV/VTC conference rooms, video walls, and operation centers
  • Unified communications systems (classified/unclassified)

They’ve even built the AV systems in over 80% of the professional sports arenas in the U.S.! (Think: very large jumbo-trons!)

We’re excited to get Diversified more involved in upcoming GSF events, so stay tuned. And we wish their CEO, Fred D’Alessandro, luck as a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year!
